I was in the Kendallville branch earlier today to get my wife a state ID. My wife suffers from bi-polar 2 disorder with schizophrenic episodes. My wife becomes very confused and at times very aggitated. I tried to explain the situation to the one staff person who waited on us but she refused to hear me out. What then ensued was a plethora of non essential choices presented to my wife whom I have power of attorney over that was completely un called for which totally exacerbated my wife's mental condition. Not only that but the staff member treated me like a second class citizen and went out of her way to make me feel humiliated. Mental illness is real! I take care of my wife the best that I possibly can. Because of the delay we were unable to make it to the Kendallville Friendship Food Pantry and now must go another week with nary any food supplies. All the staff member had to do was listen to me but instead judged me. Ma'am you couldn't walk 10 feet in my shoes.
Went in to apply for my Drivers License, and was helped by Kathy. It was one of the most pleasant BMV visits we've had, Thanks Kathy!
