Our family holds our annual family reunion there. Great place, we camp for it every year. Very quite place to camp!

It's nice and clean it has a beach to go swimming so much fun

We pulled up to the office expecting someone inside, and no one was there. So after inspection we found a sign that said something along the lines of, if im not here pick a site and come back and pay later when i get back.So we drove around the camp several times and picked a site we thought was nice. some time passes and the host (maybe) comes running to our site and says you cant camp here! (meanwhile he has just been sitting in his camper doing what exactly? i dont know.) so we talked and he seemed nice enough (take that lightly) and he told us where we COULD camp. Why even have a sign that says pick if you cant pick. also we had reservations and expected to easily find our site. Cash Only. two stars because there is some shade. not happy

We have been camping at Bixler for over 20 years. We have always used a tent and camped on an electric site. We pay the same fee as an RV. We went tonight and was very rudely informed by the guy checking people in that he is "sick and tired of primitive tent campers using sites that he says is for RVs". It is "his" new rule and we were not allowed to camp on a site with electric and water. So we left and will no longer be camping there. We usually go several times a year but no more. We will pay more to camp somewhere else.

Love all the different things u Can do here. Only thing I wish they had was a community swimming pool. Not everyone likes swimming in a lake or going to the ymca to swim inside.
